A private plane carrying DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo & 3 others crashed in waters off Masbate on Saturday afternoon. Robredo took a small private plane instead of a commercial plane from Cebu to his home in Naga City since he wanted to attend the awarding ceremony for his youngest daughter who won in a swimming contest, according to Naga City Mayor John Bongat.

The plane crashed into the sea near barangay Ibingay in Masbate around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Robredo & 2 others remain missing, while his aide was found and rescued. Search & rescue operations are ongoing. (Text from DZMM)
